El Nino has given us quite the winter so far. Yesterday was a pretty special day for many reasons. It was the first time The Eddie competition has been held since 2009 at Waimea Bay. And it was also special because the rest of the islands have lit up with waves too. Peʻahi (commonly referred to as “Jaws”) was FIRING yesterday with massive waves and brave big wave chargers. The energy on Maui’s north shore is tangible in the air… literally. There’s actual sea spray in the air, even a up to a few miles away from the shore. Wild!
We’d like to thank Minit Medical Urgent Care for sharing these incredible photos of Jaws and also congratulate them on adding to their Lahaina location with their new Kahului location.
Minit Medical Urgent Care is excited to open it’s second location in Kahului in late April. The new clinic will be located in the Maui Marketplace by Lowe’s, Starbucks and Subway at 270 Dairy Road. The expansion allows everyone on Maui quick access to timely walk-in medical care. When you’re hurt or under the weather, Minit Medical makes you feel better.
