Since 2013, when the Hawaii Marriage Equality Act was passed, a growing number of LGBT weddings have come to Hawaii. Having had enjoyed thousands of weddings here on Maui ourselves, we’ve been asked a few times recently what the different is between traditional straight weddings and same-sex weddings in terms of the details and overall vibe of the ceremonies and receptions.
